🌟 STEM Made Simple: Taking Research From the Lab to the Street

From Lab Discoveries to Real-Life Impact

As a scientist with a PhD in Animal Physiology and a deep passion for discovery, I’ve spent years immersed in research — conducting experiments, publishing findings, and contributing to the ever-growing body of scientific knowledge. The world of science is my second home.

But over time, I began to notice something troubling:

🧪 The knowledge we generate often doesn’t reach the people who need it most.

I’d share breakthroughs with friends or community members, only to see their eyes glaze over — not because they didn’t care, but because the language of science can be difficult to understand.

That moment became a turning point.

Even the most impactful discoveries — from better nutrition and disease prevention to engineering solutions and tech innovations — can lose their power if they’re not translated for the public in a way that’s clear, easy to understand, relatable, and easy to apply in everyday life.

That’s why I created STEM Made Simple — a personal and public storytelling space where research from the lab is brought directly to the street.

Why STEM Made Simple Exists

Many groundbreaking discoveries never make it beyond academic journals. They’re locked behind paywalls, written in technical jargon, or simply not shared in ways everyday people can understand or relate to.

And that deeply concerns me — because if science is meant to serve humanity, then it must also speak to humanity.

My Experience With Science Communication

Over the years, I’ve been privileged to participate in science communication programs and accessed relevant resources from:

🧬 The New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS)

🔬 The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)

🌍 Various Canadian and European STEM outreach organizations, among others

These experiences strengthened my belief that clear, effective communication between scientists and the general public is not just valuable — it’s essential.

Because if science is meant to serve humanity, then it must be communicated in a simple language understood by humanity.
